Renowned for his finesse in crafting chardonnays in Gisborne and exquisite sauvignon blancs in Marlborough, Simon spearheads several esteemed wine labels. In 1996, he founded his own label Astrolabe, showcasing the diverse terroir of Marlborough with a focus on regional varietal nuances. Scopius is an extension of Simon’s passion for this special region.
